Introduction & Content Overview Video & Transcript

Hey everyone. This session is called Table Top Games for Online Learning. I'm your host, Dave Eng from University XP. You can contact me anytime by going to my email address which is [email protected] or by going to my website universityxp.com to find some really great resources on games-based learning.

And tonight's webinar is called Table Top Games for Online Learning.

All right, let's go over our Content Overview for tonight. We're going to go over a lot of content because I want to explain a lot of these games in depth. So it doesn't look like a whole lot here, but it is a lot to cover if you've never played any of these games before.

So we're going to be covering five, very different and distinct areas. First, we'll talk about what exactly is games-based learning. Some of you may already know what game-based learning is because you use it currently in your practice. Some of you may be new to this, if so that's totally fine, we're going to go through what that means step-by-step.

Then we're going to spend the majority of tonight's presentation talking about the four games that you see up here on screen. Some of them you may be familiar with, some of them you may not be, some of them you may have played considerably, but didn't know that you could use it for teaching and learning. Some of you may not even know that you can play all of these games for free online right now. So, that's what we're actually going to be covering. So the games we are covering into this presentation is Just One, Hanabi, Codenames, and Wavelength.
